The morning of the race

Anthony's first race since July 2024. Anthony was pre July 2024 driving in Rotax Senior before he decided to hand up his boots. After hearing of a new class being set up at Club 2000, Anthony decided it was time to drive again, have fun and see old friends. 

Getting the kart built and raising money to purchase the kart, tyres and the engine was not easy, but we now have the basics and are continually looking for sponsors. 

Race days are always manic getting g the kart ready for scrutineering and checking every nut and bolt for tightness. Tyres need to be inflated to what we feel is the right temperature, getting the right choice of sprockets then the right fuel. over fuelling is just extra weight but to little and you could be under weight and disqualified. 

The next step is making sure the set up is the correct one for the weather and track conditions and last of all, getting the driver ready and being on the dummy grid in time.
